Program & Activities

Camp Gan Israel in the Poconos fosters within campers a strong, Jewish identity – one that can last a lifetime – by providing an immersion in spiritual and cultural experiences within a warm, supportive environment. Activities, learning sessions, and trips are designed to combine wholesome fun with education, to create a strong, positive sense of self as a Jewish young woman.

CGI Poconos’ activities provide our campers with a balance of aquatics, arts, athletics, and adventure. In addition, we also offer specialized activities that are designed to help our campers’ develop their abilities and skills (ex. self-defense, hand sewing, laundry, fashion design, team building, Challah baking, cooking, and much more.)

Trips:

CGI Poconos’ trips are highlighted by our annual Jewish Pride trip to New York City and Crown Heights, Brooklyn, headquarters of Chabad Lubavitch.  Each summer our campers also look forward to our amusement park trip.  In addition, our camp is located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains allowing us to do many local mini-trips.  A favorite among them being Dingmans Fall and canoeing down the the Delaware River.
